Victim Services

Salt Spring Island Victim Services provides emotional support, practical assistance and referrals and information about the criminal justice system and further protective measures. Victim Services is a partnership between Salt Spring Island RCMP and Salt Spring Island Community Services providing support for victims of crime including crisis intervention, emotional support, information, trauma debriefing and court preparation.

Salt Spring Island and the Southern Gulf Islands also have a collaborative safety planning team for high risk domestic violence files called the Integrated Case Assessment Team or ICAT. The ICAT accepts referrals from any community agency or individual if they believe that they have a client who is at high risk of serious bodily injury or death. You can access this service or request referral forms by calling the Victim Services Coordinator.
