Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)

We speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Help is provided for stray, abandoned or injured animals. Funded by public donation and run by volunteers, the SPCA places adoptable animals in new homes and offers information on animal care and welfare.

While the world and Salt Spring is dealing with COVID, we have had to change how we operate. Our shelter hours have changed to Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 - 4:00 pm by appointment only. Once COVID is over (or we move to another location), we will be changing our hours to something more permanent.
