Harvest Food Programs

Harvest is an interconnected network of food security programs operating within Salt Spring Island Community Services. We grow, cook, preserve, distribute and recover food for our community. The programs operating under the Harvest umbrella include the Harvest Home Meal program for seniors, the Harvest Farm, the Harvest Kitchen and Cafe, the Harvest Food Bank, the Second Harvest food reclaim program and the Market Nutrition Coupon program. By managing multiple food security programs within one organization we can more efficiently ensure that healthy food goes where it’s needed most, meeting people where they are at.
